CBS Radio announced today that have renewed the contract of US99.5 morning show star, Lisa Dent. The co-host of the "Lisa Dent & Ramblin' Ray Morning Show" has been with WUSN for eight years, the last three as Ramblin' Ray Stevens' co-host of the popular morning program. Dent has been with CBS Radio for a total of 14 years.
Lisa Dent was raised in Rockford, IL. She said in CBS' statement today "I grew up around here, and being on the radio in Chicago is like hanging out with my friends."
Bill Gamble, WUSN's Program Director today called Lisa Dent "one of the premier talents in the country." She was the 2005 winner of the Country Music Association Radio Personality Of The Year - Major Market award. This happened when she was still US99's midday host, the year prior to her moving to the morning show.
Since becoming morning show co-host in 2006, Lisa & Ray's morning show is consistently at or near the top of the morning drive ratings, especially in the Women 25-54 category.
Those wondering if they could see a reunion of Big John Howell and Ramblin' Ray on the US99.5 morning show can put those thoughts and rumors away. Dent's renewal is a multi-year contract. Exact terms were not disclosed to the public.
