Watched Mancow Muller on Channel 11 last night with Phil Ponce and he made a pretty convincing case for himself. Oh, sure, he still goes off half-cocked (he predicts his WLS-AM co-host Pat Cassidy will re-unite with Felicia Middlebrooks, whom he hates and he joked that Casimir Pulaski Day was actually Roman Polanski Day), but you can`t deny his success at WLS-AM. He was #1 among 12+ on an AM radio station in the nation`s third largest market and, according to Mancow, the bankruptcy filing by Citadel Media accounted for his dismissal. They just couldn`t afford him.
Mancow says he never was a strict right or left-winger, he called them as he saw them. As always, Mancow was completely self-serving and totally irreverent, but you can`t deny the success of his schtick. Look at those numbers in Feder`s blog, those are real. He thinks that WGN may be his next station (I don`t see that) and he admitted, despite their differences, he really liked his co-host Pat Cassidy. Chicago Tonight is archived on demand from XFINITY by Comcast(lol, I had to) and also at WTTW.com and Mancow`s on at about :41 minutes past the hour.
