Why are there dozens and dozens and dozens of incredibly talented Chicago radio personalities off the air? Why are there dozens more that are stuck reading traffic, news or weather, when they should be running the whole show? Why are dozens more working in smaller markets for less money?
It is not because of any lack of talent. It is because of the stupidity, short-sightedness and greed of a handful of large corporations that now run the vast majority of Chicago's (and America's) radio stations -- corporations that are poorly run by shareholders, creditors, accountants and attorneys, NOT radio people.
