Good news for Mark Grote, who's been delivering his sports reports on CBS Radio all-news WBBM-AM (780) with his jaw wired shut while he recovers from a bike accident.

Today is the day Grote gets his jaw de-wired -- and can eat solid food for the first time in weeks.

"I plan to dine at Old Country Buffet to make up for lost consumption time," he said. "A wired jaw is a wonderful diet plan."
