The News/Talk radio veteran — most recently PD at WLS/Chicago — joins KTAR-FM as News Director and APD. Shomper, who in recent years also held programming gigs at WGN/Chicago and WBAP/Dallas, said he is “thrilled to work for the best local radio news company in America” adding, “KTAR-FM is a ratings leader, a Murrow Award winner and a team with a plan to expand its content offerings, while so many others are cutting back. I couldn’t be more excited to join the Bonneville family.” Bonneville/Phoenix Director of News/Talk/Sports programming Russ Hill reports that he’s pleased to be able to add someone with Shomper’s experience to the company’s leadership team saying, “Bob is one of the most well-known programmers in News/Talk radio. He will help us as we transition from our current position of dominating in radio to owning the digital space as well.”
