A former Chicago radio manager is on trial in Massachusetts for the murder of his wife.

James Keown, who called himself J.P. O'Neill as program director and operations manager at ESPN Radio's sports/talk WMVP-AM (1000), was charged with killing his wife, Julie Keown, in 2004 by poisoning her with ethylene glycol, a chemical found in antifreeze.

Prosecutors in Woburn, Mass., said he laced her Gatorade with the chemical over several months before she lapsed into a coma and died. They said Keown wanted to collect $250,000 in life insurance money.

Keown, 34, worked at ESPN Radio 1000 from 1998 to 1999.
