After just two months on Newsweb Radio progressive talk WCPT-AM (820), "The Mike Nowak Show" is adding an hour.

The program, which focuses on gardening and environmental issues, will air from noon to 2 p.m. Sundays, as of this weekend.

Nowak jumped to WCPT from Tribune Co.-owned news/talk WGN-AM (720), where he'd worked since 1984.
