...and Phil Rosenthal says: Harry Teinowitz, sidelined from WMVP-AM 1000 after his March arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, will make an appearance on his ESPN radio talk show with John "Jurko" Jurkovic and Carmen DeFalco. The announcement came in the form of a teaser at the start of Tuesday's "Carmen, Jurko and Harry" program. Teinowitz's cohosts said their absent partner, who recently completed a voluntary rehabilitation program, would be on all four hours of Wednesday's broadcast. It never was said definitively whether Teinowitz's return to the Disney-owned station was permanent. Subsequent promos, however, referred to the program returning to full-strength. Teinowitz, 50, was pulled over in Skokie late on March 4, charged with two counts of improper lane usage, one count of DUI and one count of DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration of greater than .08 percent. His booking photo is above. Police alleged Teinowitz was driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of .131 percent. The arresting officer also reported smelling marijauna in Teinowitz's car after pulling it over. At WMVP since 1998 and a co-host of “The Afternoon Saloon” since 2001, Teinowitz made a brief on-air apology March 8 to his family, ESPN and its listeners for what he called an “unfortunate situation.” Teinowitz last May was escorted from the White Sox clubhouse for conduct Sox executives deemed inappropriate. In 2006, he and Dan McNeil, then one of his co-hosts, served WMVP suspensions after an on-air spat. Initially, Teinowitz was suspended for the March DUI incident. Two weeks after his arrest, a spokesman for Teinowitz said that the co-host was voluntarily entering a rehabilitation program. "We are glad to hear he's addressing his situation," an ESPN spokesman said at the time.
