I am the reader who was responsible for
taking the first action that ultimately led to Ms. Wiser's dismissal, regarding which I take no joy or pride. I live in California and read her positive review of the Glee concert and Ms. Michele on the web. I had never heard of Paige Wiser. I, like virtually all fans of Ms. Michele, knew that "Don't Rain On My Parade" (DROMP) had been dropped from the setlist back in San Diego, presumably to preserve her voice for the arduous tour ahead. I sent an email to Ms. Wiser the evening of 6/4, accusing her of a fabrication and asking for the email address of her editor. When she did not respond, I sent an email to her editor the morning of 6/7, after which there was an exchange of emails as I provided information (and invoked the name of Stephen Glass) that would guide her in verifying whether or not DROMP was performed in Chicago. The editor confirmed late 6/8 that it hadn't been. Supporters of Ms. Wiser should consider the following: When did she read my initial email? What steps did she take to confirm that DROMP had not been performed? When did she discover the truth? What steps did she take to inform her editor? Did her editor confront her and, if so, what was her initial reply?
