WMBI's "Unshackled!" celebrates

This week marks the 3,000th original episode of the longest-running drama series on radio, produced by the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago.

"Unshackled!" tells inspiring stories of troubled people whose lives have been redeemed through Christian faith.

Now in its 58th year on the air, "Unshackled!" is heard here at 7:30 p.m. Sundays on Moody Bible Institute's Christian WMBI-FM (90.1). It also airs on 1,700 radio stations worldwide.

David McCarrell, president of Pacific Garden Mission, called the program "a unique treasure in the annals of broadcasting."
