Fox's Michelle Gielan heads for CBS NY

It's official: Michelle Gielan, a reporter and substitute news anchor at Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32, is headed for a CBS News anchor job in New York.

Confirming a tip here last month, Gielan has been named anchor of "The CBS Morning News" at 4:30 a.m. weekdays and news reader for the Saturday edition of "The Early Show." She starts Monday.

Gielan, a New York native and graduate of Tufts University, joined Channel 32 in 2005 from KTSM-TV in El Paso, Texas.
