Following Thursday's (July 31) surprise announcement from CBS Corp. CEO Les Moonves about 50 stations from mid-sized markets eventually being spun off, every sage, pundit and general industry know-it-all has been perusing the roster of CBS Radio properties trying to predict exactly what will be on the block.

But on Friday (Aug. 1) came word from the Pittsburgh Tribune Review that staff members at CBS Radio's Pittsburgh cluster -- which comprises news/talk KDKA, country WDSY (Y108), CHR/top 40 WBZW (B94) and hot AC WZPT (Star 100.7) -- were told those stations would likely be in play. R&R has confirmed that meeting and talked with staffers in at least two other markets who were told the same thing.

Additionally, R&R has heard from several sources that the company plans to sell any properties that are in markets 16 and above.

Calls to CBS for comment were not returned at press time.
