New WTTW host is not new at all

A star is born: One of the best newcomers to local television is someone who's been on the air here for nearly 25 years.

In just six weeks as weekly business news analyst for WTTW-Channel 11's "Chicago Tonight," Kris Kridel has proved to be an outstanding addition to the Window to the World Communications station.

Kridel brings knowledge and authority to her new role after decades as a news anchor at CBS Radio all-news WBBM-AM (780). She also co-hosts its "Noon Business Hour."
