Placing a bigger emphasis on digital media, CBS Radio reorganized management responsibilities for some of its top executives. The news came Monday (Aug. 25) in a memo to employees from Dan Mason, president and CEO of the radio group.

David Goodman, president of digital media and integrated marketing and the executive responsible for CBS' deal with AOL Radio and the development of a new player, will focus all his time extending traditional radio to multiple digital platforms.

"Seeing that digital has become an ever increasingly important part of our business we're lucky to have someone with David's expertise and insight leading our efforts from a technology and revenue generating perspective," Mason wrote. "Our stations are benefitting from partnerships that are a direct result of David's passion and belief in our online capabilities and I'm confident he will lead us down a path of success."

The Altitude Group, formerly under Goodman, will now be overseen by Michael Weiss, president of sales.

Rich Lobel, executive VP of the Altitude Group, will expand his responsibilities to include similar duties for the Digital Media Group. The expanded role allows Lobel to extend his creative role in creating campaigns for clients such as AT&T, Dodge, and Comcast, to CBS' digital extensions, both local and national.

Sue McNamara, executive VP of sales, will take on day-to-day management responsibilities for the Altitude Group.

"The business is changing at record setting speed which means we must act equally quick in evolving our management structure," Mason wrote.
