you're 100% right. this new ratings system will show who is listening to what. gone are the days of people writing down their "favorites" in the diary, or who they feel they connect with the most. ppm is like truth serum. and the truth will hurt a lot for some. hopefully it doesn't result in any firings because i never like to see people without jobs, but i envision a lot of changes in pay grades for morning shows, long-time jocks and urban/spanish stations. start saving those dollars, peeps!

: OUCH!

: This falls under the same category of the urban and spanish stations having difficult #s under the new PPM. It's because Steve Dahl has so much longevity and a cult following that people would write him down no matter if they actually listened at the given time or not.

: PPM is going to show us who is really listening. Things are going to change. I know this scares a lot of people. Especially the old timers.

: : In the latest ratings, Dahl's show plunged to 31st place with a 0.9 percent share -- down from 16th with a 2.4 share in the last Arbitron diary report. In adults between 25 and 54, his show fell to 28th with 1.3 share -- down from seventh with a 3.2 share.
