Local television veterans are mourning the passing of Ed Kenefick, who served as vice president and general manager of CBS-owned WBBM-Channel 2 from 1965 to 1970.

Kenefick, who died this week at 82, was credited with bringing a young Bill Kurtis to Chicago from Topeka, Kan.
