WKQX Hires Marc Young As APD/MD

EMMIS Alternative WKQX (Q101.1)/CHICAGO has hired MARC YOUNG as APD/MD, effective JANUARY 28th. YOUNG was most recently APD/afternoons at TRUMPER Rhythmic AC KMVA (MOVIN' 95.7)/PHOENIX. His Alternative programming experience includes KEDJ/PHOENIX, KTEG/ALBUQUERQUE and KAHA/HONOLULU.

EMMIS/CHICAGO Brand Manager TISA LASORTE said, "The search has been completed. It was quite rewarding to have many qualified candidates interested in helping us reach our goals at Q101, and to talk radio with all these talented programmers. One of them ended up at the top of the list because of his great combination of strong leadership qualities, passionate knowledge of music management, relevant experience, resourcefulness, and positive management style."

"This is a very important position that drives the station's growth, and MARC is enthusiastic about taking on the responsibility," She added. "Meanwhile, a big thank you to NICOLE for doing a great job with the music management since SPIKE left."
