WGN's weather front

There has been a change in the weather at Tribune Co.-owned news/talk WGN-AM (720).

After 10 years as the station's forecasting service, the Weather Channel has been dropped.

It has been replaced with an in-house brand, the WGN Weather Center, supplemented by Murray & Trettel's Weather Command.

That should mean expanded radio duties for Tom Skilling, Paul Konrad, Jim Ramsey and Tim McGill, among others.
