CCR, Nav N Go Partnership Accelerates Development Time For PNDs

Clear Channel Radio will provide software creator Nav N Go with real-time traffic data from its Total Traffic Network (CCTTN) that will be integrated into Nav N Go's navigation software suite. Nav N Go develops usability and navigation software for over 70 manufacturers of personal navigation devices (PNDs), smartphones, handheld game consoles and in-car navigation systems.

This partnership, which will make map displays and real-time traffic data more accessible, will accelerate development time for manufacturers of GPS-equipped PNDs and other devices.

"A large portion of the PND makers we work with use Clear Channel Radio’s Total Traffic Network so creating this bundle makes perfect sense," said Attila Kátai, Nav N Go chief content officer. "CCTTN offers unique solutions in the market, in part, because of its commitment to quality control -- every piece of data is accurate and reliable."

"Rarely do we see such a young company make such a significant impact,” said Jeff Littlejohn, executive VP of distribution development for Clear Channel Radio. “Their innovative approach, rapid response times and commitment to creating turnkey solutions for manufacturers make them an important partner and a valued co-developer."

Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network serves over 125 metropolitan markets in four countries and has a population coverage of 200 million people. The company has also brokered deals with Volvo, BMW and MINI USA and expanded its relationship with Mio Technologies in the past year.
