* * Hear ye, hear ye! There will be a new judge Thursday on Mike Murphy's WSCR-AM (670) program. Judge Murphy won't be presiding. He's handing over the gavel to yours truly to rule on a new segment set to run from noon to 1 p.m.: ''Hey, Murph, I've Got an Idea.'' With prizes to be awarded, Murph figured he didn't want to have callers who failed to win any (or anything good) upset with him, so he searched far and wide (OK, maybe just wide) to locate a sucker/substitute. Folks can go to www.670TheScore.com and click on Murph's face to e-mail ideas. If someone didn't know better, you might think it sounds like a way to drum up listeners and/or publicity. Rest assured, Quick Hits doesn't know better. Or much.

* * ''Ditkaween II'' will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at former Bears coach Mike Ditka's restaurant in Oakbrook Terrace. Held in conjunction with his 11 a.m.-noon appearance on the ''Waddle and Silvy'' show on WMVP-AM (1000), the event offers prizes to folks dressing up like Da Coach. The show also may be accessed at ESPN Radio1000.com -- for those who can't get enough of Ditka lookalikes (hey, and who can?).
