* * Former Bears linebacker and current WSCR-AM 670 radio host Doug Buffone will sign copies of the new book "The 50 Greatest Plays in Chicago Bear Football History" at 2 p.m. Saturday at Borders (1540 Golf Rd.) in Schaumburg.
* * The "Buck O'Neil and Black Baseball in Chicago" documentary had its debut on WYCC-Ch. 20 Sunday night. An encore presentation will follow at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The documentary was produced by the Tribune's John Owens.
