* * Former Bears linebacker and current WSCR-AM 670 radio host Doug Buffone will sign copies of the new book "The 50 Greatest Plays in Chicago Bear Football History" at 2 p.m. Saturday at Borders (1540 Golf Rd.) in Schaumburg.


* * The "Buck O'Neil and Black Baseball in Chicago" documentary had its debut on WYCC-Ch. 20 Sunday night. An encore presentation will follow at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The documentary was produced by the Tribune's John Owens.

* * Paul Ladewski, former sports columnist and editor at the Daily Southtown, has joined the Chicago Baseball Museum (chicagobaseballmuseum.com) as a communications consultant.

* * Dan Migala, publisher of The Migala Report and Principal of Property Consulting Group, has been named director of the master of arts in sports administration program at Northwestern University's School of Continuing Studies.

* * Comcast SportsNet will televise the Blackhawks' No. 3 jersey retirement ceremony for the late Keith Magnuson and Pierre Pilote live from the United Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
