WGN's Rosenberg Honored With Humanities Medal

In a WHITE HOUSE ceremony on MONDAY, TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO "EXTENSION 720" host MILT ROSENBERG was awarded a NATIONAL HUMANITIES MEDAL from the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE HUMANITIES MONDAY (11/17). ROSENBERG received the medal from President GEORGE W. BUSH following a reception in honor of the nine individuals, one museum, and one philanthropic foundation being recognized by the awards.

ROSENBERG was honored "for bringing the world of ideas to millions of listeners. Combining a scholar’s understanding and a teacher’s openness, he has made a home in radio for elevated conversation and profound thought."
