John Williams to replace Spike O'Dell for WGN mornings

We are very excited to announce that John Williams will become our new morning host following Spike's retirement in December. In John's 12 years with WGN, he has shown passion, dedication, community involvement, creativity and commitment in building WGN's brand across multiple platforms. John is a well-known, popular host on WGN, known throughout Chicagoland and beyond -- A great broadcaster deserving of this promotion.

Spike, Bob and Wally left big shoes. I have no doubt that John will wear them well and with great pride and dedication to our listeners, clients and to all of us here at "The Voice of Chicago."
