As we began 2008, we were just celebrating our signal's move from 850-AM in Crystal Lake to 820-AM in Chicago. Finally, the entire Chicago area would be able to listen to us... at least from sunrise until sunset. As it turns out, our frequency change was just an appetizer to an enormous meal. As the year ends, we could have never imagined everything that not only happened to us; but to the entire country!

Here at Chicago's Progressive Talk we are now broadcasting on three FM signals to go along with our AM station. Between the four stations, our kind of talk can now be heard in parts of four states and the entire Chicago Metropolitan area. With your help, we are growing into a real force in Chicago radio and we're in a better position than ever to spread the message of the new mainstream. Speaking of Chicago, with our hometown hero headed to the White House, Chicago is becoming the center of the political universe and we plan on being there to watch it all happen. Change isn't just a campaign slogan though; the real work starts on January 20 th. Chicago's Progressive Talk promises to be here with all the information you need to make sure that positive change comes to Chicago and to the nation.

Speaking of change, there are some changes coming to our airwaves starting this Saturday, December 27th. Our new Saturday lineup debuts at 5am with "The Best of American Afternoon" with Ron Kuby, followed directly by "Awake with Jake," with Jake Hartford at 7am. Now you can sleep in a little and still catch Jake's full show, which will go until 11am. Right after that, "Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know" gets a brand new starting time at 11am. While you may have to "Wait, Wait" an extra hour for his show to start, we think the wait will be worth it! Following Michael Feldman will be a newly expanded "Back on the Beat" with Dick Kay, now starting an hour earlier at 1pm and going until 4pm. Next comes "Ring of Fire" with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Mike Papantonio at 4pm and "The Best of Clout" with Richard Greene at 7pm.

It's been quite a year for all of us and all of us at Chicago's Progressive Talk wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Winter Solstice, and Happy New Year. Thanks for listening and thanks for your continued support of our sponsors. Without you, there's no us!
