Ambassador Davies

Janet Davies, ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7 entertainment reporter and host/executive producer of the station's "190 North" show, has signed on as an ambassador for CARE, a humanitarian organization that fights global poverty by empowering women.

As a local Chicago ambassador, Davies will help raise awareness in Chicago of how women are disproportionately affected by poverty (70 percent of those living on $1 a day or less are women) and how disadvantaged females can lift themselves and their families out of poverty.
