CBS2 morning show faces new challenge

Choosing a replacement for the late Randy Salerno as morning news anchor isn't the only challenge facing bosses of CBS-owned WBBM-Channel 2.

Now comes word that the show's other anchor, Roseanne Tellez, plans to go on maternity leave in June. No decision has been made on who will fill in.

Anchoring the show alongside Tellez for the time being has been morning traffic reporter Susan Carlson, who could be under consideration for the job permanently. Carlson also is Channel 2's Saturday morning news anchor and anchor of its Web newscast.

Salerno was killed Jan. 24 in a snowmobile accident.
