Not a happy day last FRIDAY (8/10) when just after 3a, someone shot up the transmitter lines feeding the tower at REGENT Top 40/Rhythmic WZPW (POWER 92.3)/PEORIA, taking the station off the air.
POWER 92.3 returned to the air just before noon on SATURDAY (8/11), but is still running at reduced power.
No word on a suspect, or what song drove them over the edge.
