Hermene Hartman, publisher of N'Digo magazine (and president and founder of the N'Digo Foundation), debuted this week as a Monday-through-Friday commentator on Clear Channel Radio's urban adult-contemporary WVAZ-FM (102.7).

"Views from the Heart," spotlighting Hartman's perspectives on politics, relationships, family life, business, culture and the African-American community, airs at 9:12 a.m. and 2:12 p.m.

"Chicago media has been known for its hot copy commentary with the writings of the late Mike Royko and the television voice of Walter Jacobson," Hartman said. " 'Views from the Heart' is yet another Chicago tradition and extension of N'Digo into a radio format."

Hartman has been writing a column for N'Digo since 1989.
