I've resigned from ESPN 1000 today.

What's up people?

As you might have read, I have resigned my position as on air host at WMVP.

I want to thank everyone that has supported me, agreed or disagreed, loved or hated me.

After my contract wasn't renewed at WSCR in 2005, a few months later, I was blessed enough to be on the roster at WMVP. I thank Tom Seritella, Harry T, Jeff Schwartz, Danny Mac and Jim Pastor for believing in my abilities to come over and be apart of WMVP.

17 of my 19 years in the business have been in sportsradio in some capacity and now I'm excited about this new opportunity at chicagosportswebio.com

I will be teaming with Tim Doyle mid days from 11-3 pm cdt on chicagosportswebio.com starting April 6th. We really need your support in this new venture and the former Wildcat and yours truly hope we can keep you company during the middays. If you've heard my shows in the past, you know that I'm always about fun, information, interaction with you and oh yeah, fun.

I want to thank anyone who turned on The Show or Chicago. Baseball Tonight. Thanks for the support and your time.

I appreciate what David Hernandez and Mike North are doing by starting this new webio creation.

These 2 are along with a creative staff want to make this work; I'm glad I'm apart of this energetic group.

I want to thank my partners on The Show, Carmen De Falco and Jeff Dickerson. We had some tremendous times together at night. I just hope that they enjoyed working with me as much as I did with them. I've known JD since the late 90's, when he was an associate producer and Carm is one of the best partners I've ever worked with. I'm thrilled for Carm that he's on the Afternoon Saloon, its no surprise that the Saloon is doing well in the last book and will be a successful program.

The producers. Most of them on FB.

Adam Abdalla (my little brother), Chris Bleck (The man who will replace Bill Simmons as funniest blogger ever),Midway Jeff, Sharma, (Cubbie blue apologist), Dave Miska (the pride and joy of southside values), Billy Ociepka and Danny Zederman and JR Strauss, who had to endure listening to the worst anchor in the history of the 1000 AM frequency, me! Lol. Billy Z, who should be in Hyde Pk loving life but won't take my advice and Randy Merkin who is the best booker in the biz. Ernie Scatton, who was an influence on me coming to WMVP and Artie Kennedy, two quality voices in the biz.

Thanks to my old pd Justin Craig for showing me other ways to host shows.

Adam Delevitt, should be a program director. He's a solid peoples person and is more qualified than most that have tried sit in the big chair.

AD was always accomadating and a good listener when I had questions or concerns.

He along with Carm and Adam A were there for me in my darkest hour when my #1 fan, my grandmother passed last year. Ill never forget there concern and support.

I will update you on facebook, myspace and my new twitter page that I'm going to have soon on what's going on with the new Hood/Doyle program starting April 6th at 11 am.

Sorry, for the novel, but I just wanted to say thank you.

Let's make a date April 6th from 11am-3pm.

Thanks,
J~
