I know the producer there works pretty hard but that type of direction should be coming from a Program Director wouldn't you say?

The producer is booking guests, grabbing news, screening calls, and who knows what else. They should treat the five o'clock hour like the highest listened to hours probably because those listeners are more loyal at that time anyway and deserve a quality show not just fodder.

Small talk is ok once and awhile since they are human!!

: Yeah, I think it stems from having young, inexperienced producers working on that show.

: : Lots of times shows that start that early ease into things instead of coming out of the gate firing away.

: : : Vent on

: : : Is it just me or do they spend more time talking about what they are going to talk about then talking about it? The 8 minutes you get from 5:10 to 5:18 is a run down of topics for the day. Great except I don't listen all day, so most of this is meaning less to me. Why not just start the show and talk about topics instead of a show run down, and chatting with the news guy and what's her name that was fired from The Dahl's show?

: : : OK vent off.
