This has nothing to do with Geoff Pinkus. That was an unfair slam on the man.
The Salem paycuts & directives are nationwide, not just in Chicago. To Salem's credit, they are doing all they can to avoid cutting staff members. Upper management & executives are taking much deeper cuts that those in the trenches. There isn't much to be happy about on the business side of radio, but Salem Communications definitely has earned my respect in how they are handling the downturn.
: Does anybody have any inside information about potential changes at WIND in April? Salem made all their employees use up their PTO by the end of March and gave everyone a 5% pay cut. Maybe Geoff Pinkus isn't brining in the revenue they thought he would.
