The organization, "Friends of Child Advocacy" provides support for abused children in Kane County, IL.
The "Friends of Child Advocacy" have put together a new & fun fundraising event and they have enlisted the aid of numerous Chicago media stars. "Handbags Full Of Hope" is a series of eBay auctions featuring decorated purses, wallets, footballs, baseballs and much more, with the proceeds going to the charity.
Those participating include: WLIT's Melissa Forman, WTMX's Kathy Hart, WKSC's Mel T, WGN's Kathy O'Malley, WBBM's Julie Mann, ABC7's Cheryl Burton, ABC7's Linda Yu, ABC7's Janet Davies, the staff of Fox32's "Final Word", Fox32's Dave Novarro, Fox32's Nancy Pender, the Sun-Times' Neil Steinberg, the Sun-Times' Rick Telander, Christine Collins (widow of WGN's Bob Collins), sitcom star Jim Belushi, and so many more! Even national stars like Robin Williams, Greg Kinnear, Julie Chen and Tony Hawk are contributing.
