Yeah, not to mention the HD formatting affecting my old SD picture overall. I randomly get a "squished" picture on my 4:3 (as if they're squishing the wide to 4:3). And then randomly on my widescreen tv's, I've noticed that when they're in the 4:3 format for a B-roll clip, that picture looks squished in between those fillers on the sides. It happens randomly and I don't see that on any other channels. I've always been a NBC 5 fan, but ABC 7 has always been pretty tight on the HD!

: They also have problems with their HD signal, where the lips and voice don't match up more often than not.

:
: : To me, more than unprofessional it is extremely distracting; I switched over to ABC7.

: : : What in the heck is going on with the audio during Channel 5's newscasts? Any time I watch it over the air or through DirecTv, it seems like the microphones get queued up too late whenever they switch from reporter to anchor to clip and back. All too often, somebody will start taking before their microphone is turned on. You can still hear them, but faintly, as if they were being picked up by another mic in the room.

: : : I've never noticed this on any other station's news. It seems a little unprofessional for a major Chicago TV station to have this problem for such a long time (well over a year).
