Allison Payne, who's been out of action for months while recovering from a series of ministrokes, is expected back on the air Monday as 9 p.m. news anchor at Tribune Co.-owned WGN-Channel 9.
Payne returned to the station for the first time Tuesday to shoot promotions with longtime anchor partner Steve Sanders and reconnect with her colleagues.
