Look for WBBM-Channel 2 to begin rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic now that the CBS-owned station parted company with some of its highest profile talent.
Still reeling from Monday's cost-cutting massacre, insiders say morning news anchor Roseanne Tellez and San Diego newcomer Anne State could be in line to replace Diann Burns, who anchored the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts with Rob Johnson until this week.
Complicating the scenario is the likelihood that Tellez will begin maternity leave in June.
Once Tellez leaves the morning show, the smart money says Jim Williams, who now anchors weekends, would shift to weekday mornings alongside Susan Carlson.
Carlson, who had been the show's traffic reporter, has been filling in as anchor since the death of Randy Salerno in a snowmobile accident in January
