DuPage County, IL - GateHouse News Service

A DuPage County judge agreed Wednesday to allow a former Chicago disk jockey accused of soliciting a 13-year-old over the Internet to attend two family events with parental supervision.

Michael "Radio Boy" Wawrzyniak, 23, appeared in DuPage County Circuit Court and asked Judge Michael Burke to modify the terms of his bond to allow him to attend his sister’s high school graduation and a baptism. Burke agreed, but stipulated that he must be accompanied by his parents, who sat beside him in court.

Carol Stream police arrested Wawrzyniak Jan. 5 when he showed up to an undisclosed location in the village for a meeting he set up online with an officer posing as a child. He pleaded not guilty Jan. 28 to indecent solicitation of a minor and attempted criminal sexual abuse.

Prior to his arrest, Wawrzyniak was working as a disc jockey at 103.5 KISS FM, but a spokesman for Clear Channel Radio-Chicago, that station’s parent company, said he no longer works at the station.

Wawrzyniak posted bond the day of his arrest and was released from jail.
