Trying to create the illusion of a live
weather reporter, throughout the night (and
several times during the day)at the end of
its newscasts WGN includes a pre-recorded weather report. Several weeks ago,on Steve Kings show, someone obviously screwed up and they played,
what should have been the previously nights
forecast which called for rain the next day,
when the actual forecast was for sunshine.
O.K. that can happen, but the problem
is while Steve King read the correct forecast
on the quarter hour, the newscasts continued
to include the contradictory bogus forcast for the entire 6 hour show. I was waiting
for someone to catch it but, neither, the news reader, Paula Cooper, or Steve or Johnnie, or the producer, etc. caught it. You'd think in
6 hours someone would have noticed.

I know this is no longer 'news', but, hard
telling how often this occurs. And, you
know, some listeners actually depend on
that forecast.
