Kurt Vanderah, assistant program director at news/talk WGN-AM (720), is leaving after 12 years at the Tribune Co.-owned station to become vice president of events for GasPedal, a Chicago-based marketing firm.

Vanderah, whose last day at WGN will be May 7, previously produced Kathy O'Malley and Judy Markey's midday show.
