Tony Weisman, president of Digitas Chicago ad agency, has been elected chairman of Chicago Public Radio, the nonprofit board overseeing WBEZ-FM (91.5) and Vocalo.org.

He had been acting chairman since last fall when Heather Steans stepped down to run for the Illinois Senate. She won the race in February.

Succeeding Weisman as vice chair is Prue Beidler.
