When I first saw the subject line in my Inbox, I thought I was getting a big scoop on the next format flip, but it isn`t that, it`s an entreaty from WXRT to lobby members of Congress to vote against the Performance Tax. If enacted, `XRT says it would limit the amount of music they play...well, guys, you don`t play all that much right now, but I get the idea.

No Performance Tax!

Hi Jimmy P.,

We need your help...join 93XRT in speaking out against the Performance Tax!

Congress is considering a law that could force some of your favorite radio stations, including 93XRT, to limit the amount of music played by enacting a performance tax on free broadcast radio. If this performance tax passes, that would not be good for artists, radio stations or more importantly, the millions of music lovers, like you, listening to free radio every day.
For more information, please go to noperformancetax.org.

Making yourself heard is easy. Click Here to encourage your local member of Congress to support THE LOCAL RADIO FREEDOM ACT (H. Con. Res. 49) opposing a performance tax on radio.

Thanks for your help!
