Not surprised at the John Williams part of the change. He sounded so out of place in morning drive. I'm not Monday morning qb-ing. I've said that on this board a lot.
Not really surprised that it's an out-of-towner unknown to the market, either. Kevin Metheney didn't take the WGN gig to preserve Chicago radio traditions. He came to win. He did incredibly well in Cleveland for years. He shook up the stations he programmed and he won. No reason to think he wouldn't do that here.
Can't wait to hear the new guy. And I'm glad that Jerry Agar isn't the permanent solution. I don't enjoy conservative angry man political talk. Don't need two WLS's.
