: : Brian Noonan was on from 7-9 and in his regular slot Jim Laski, former alderman, city clerk, and convict hosted a show.

: : Anyone else have a listen? (he's still on as I write this) Thoughts?

: I totally forgot he was going to be on. I planned to listen. How was it?

Noonan was actually 8p-9p because of the baseball overrun.

I caught bits of Laski through to 5a. It seemed pretty rough in the early going, in the sense that if he didn't have a caller, he wasn't able to vamp or riff but instead just started nervously firing one-sentence questions over and over. From 3:30 to 5:00 he had some callers but didn't seem to know how to get rid of them gracefully when things were played out.

When he was actually talking to someone, it struck me as fairly savvy discussion, but I'll be jiggered if I can figure out how his particular expertise could sustain a general local-events show (as fertile a ground as local corruption may be). Plug him on instead of Wasson, where he'd get more callers, and see what happens, I say.
