Tribune Co. did not pay a rights fee to pick up Blackhawks hockey broadcasts on news/talk WGN-AM (720). The three-year deal, announced Wednesday, is based on a commercial revenue-sharing agreement.
Officials also denied rumors of a change in the radio broadcast booth, which will continue to be occupied by John Weideman and Troy Murray.
