They should take pointers from their former music director Jacent Jackson who is now PD of WLUM Milwaukee (see interview posted further down on this board).
They give Jacent and the staff at WLUM a lot of freedom as its a locally owned station.
This has payed off bigtime for them. 102.1 was always at the bottom of the ratings like Q101 is. Nobody believed Alternative would work in Milwaukee.
Now its working and working well. No consultants, no corperate stockholders, locally owned, PD given complete freedom to run the station, good ratings.
