FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Chicago radio's Bill Cochran trades his headphones for an iPhone and creates an app

Evanston, Illinois - July 14, 2009 - When life gives you a lemon, make lemonade. That's what WNUA's former Creative Services Director and Weekend/Fill-in Personality Bill Cochran has done.

Cochran received his walking papers this past April only a month before Chicago's previous Smooth Jazz station said goodbye to its longtime format. But instead of becoming just another unemployment statistic, he put his newfound free time to good use with the help of software developer Kenny Smith, himself a casualty of the 2009 recession. Together the two of them have created Bon Mot!, an innovative new iPhone word game app. Priced at just 99 cents, Bon Mot! (French for "good word") is actually three games in one. Together the collaborators hashed out the strategy and graphics, Cochran lending his familiar voice and distinctive sound design to various features while Smith's prodigious skills as a software developer made their dream a reality.

(Fans of letter tile board games take note. The 7-letter format of all three games makes them a handy way to brush up on your word skills in a spare moment.)

Bon Mot! For these two Evanston entrepreneurs, it could be the right game at the right time.

Bon Mot! can be found on the iTunes App Store.

Bon Mot! has been released as the inaugural app of Smith's new iPhone software development venture, The App Orchard. Details online at http://theapporchard.com/.
