The truth here is that if you strip away the fact that Erica is black and I'm sure that somehow makes her emotionally connected to the Rev Wright situation, this boils down to the same mentality as an achicagomedia.orgess walking off the set because she doesn't agree with the directing. She is a CO-host and she needs to be able to run with whatever is thrown at her: whether its the leads on the show doing a parody/impersonation bit, or callers giving her some hell. She showed a lack of professionalism and experience here.
