It's official: Scott Mackay has been named permanent morning host at at WERV-FM (95.9), NextMedia Group's west suburban classic hits station.

"Scott has proven to be a perfect fit for the River in morning drive and rounds out what I believe to be the best talent lineup -- with the exception of our afternoon host -- in the history of this station," said Matt DuBiel, who doubles as program director and afternoon host at the River.

Mackay previously hosted mornings on Citadel Broadcasting's "True Oldies" WZZN-FM (94.7).
