The Chicago Tribune's Phil Rosenthal is in a quizzical mood today:

Phil Rosenthal asks questions you can count on

From Mayor Richard Daley to Oprah Winfrey, here's what comes to mind

Let's play 20 questions!

When Mayor Daley said he would love to have tapings on the streets of Chicago every day, was he trying to justify the decision to shut down Michigan Avenue for Oprah Winfrey, or the installation of red-light cameras throughout the city?

Who knew you could get the Sun-Times Media Group for about the same amount it took the Minnesota Vikings to sign Brett Favre to a two-year deal?

If the Olympic bid fails, will some optimistic Cubs fan acquire the "Chicago 2016" Web domain and trademarks to sell World Series merchandise?

All those years when Steve Dahl would talk on the radio about whether his sump pump was working, who knew it would ever be as important as it is now that he is doing his show from his basement?

It's one thing for "At the Movies" critics Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune and A.O. Scott of The New York Times to want to reconnect to the tradition the Sun-Times' Roger Ebert and Tribune's Gene Siskel established back in 1975, but did Scott maybe go too far in last week's debut by recommending 1977's "Annie Hall"?

It's not as though TV viewers who care about film don't know "Annie Hall." Seriously. Who does he think we are, Ben Lyons?

Did Fox Broadcasting decide not to televise President Barack Obama's prime-time speech to Congress on Wednesday because it has invested so much in the already scheduled season premieres of "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Glee," or did Obama schedule his prime-time speech to Congress on Wednesday because Fox has so much invested in the season premieres of "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Glee"?

Does that count as two questions, or one? (Forget it. I'll count this one.)

Think any cable network will be tempted to call the Obama speech to Congress "So You Think You Can Sidestep"?

You know, it's not as though Chicago never offered to shut anything down for Jerry Springer when his program aired from Chicago. Remember a few years back when some in the City Council seemed to want to shut down the whole show?

Never mind the oldies musical question "who wrote the book of love." Is it available as an audio book?

Dahl devoted some time on his initial podcast Tuesday to talking about whether the Tribune needs to allow comments at the end of online stories and columns. What do you think of that, online commenters?

That was before Dahl asked if he had done 50 minutes yet, only to discover he had been on for merely 15 minutes. Which reminds me, how many questions have I asked so far?

How many of the people who stood around for hours for Winfrey's Michigan Avenue broadcast thought she was going to give audience members new cars?

Will there be a tougher, more pressure-filled job the next few years than being the accountant who does Glenn Beck's taxes?

Would someone please, please, please on this latest promo tour ask Rod Blagojevich to rank, in order of price, his new book, his dignity and Obama's former U.S. Senate seat?

Is it true that if you play "The Beatles: Rock Band" video game backward, it tells you to play "Grand Theft Auto 2" and III?

What are the odds someone in Congress starts yelling out stuff at Obama like they do at the town hall meetings on health care?

So after shutting down Michigan Avenue, what does Winfrey do for an encore next year, shut down Michigan state?

I'm finished, aren't I?
