Big 89 Coverage Of The Big Bid

FRIDAY will be a big day in CHICAGO, as the fate of the city's bid to host the 2016 OLYMPIC GAMES will be determined. CITADEL News/Talk WLS-A (THE BIG 89) will provide all-day coverage.

WLS' coverage begins with CHICAGO's presentation to the INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE at 1:45am with THE BIG 89's JOHN DEMPSEY following the story through the pre-dawn hours. Listeners to WLS-A will be able to discuss the CHICAGO delegation's presentation all morning with DON WADE & ROMA (5-9a) and MANCOW & CASSIDY (9-11a).

"WLS is the only CHICAGO radio station that is dedicating its entire broadcast day to cover this historic occasion," said PD BOB SHOMPER. "From pre-dawn until dusk, WLS is the one place where CHICAGO can come to talk about one of the biggest days in the history of our city."
