Robinson Out, Rosso In At Citadel Media

Those old “reliable sources” tell NTS MediaOnline Today that Citadel Media President, and longtime veteran of the former ABC Radio station group, Jim Robinson, is exiting and that SVP/Digital Media John Rosso will succeed Robinson as President of the Dallas-based networks. Citadel Media is home to a hefty roster of syndicated radio talkers including Don Imus, Mark Levin, Curtis Sliwa, Joe Scarborough, Mike Huckabee, Roe Conn, Bob Brinker, Gil Gross, and Doug Limerick. The network also distributes ABC News Radio and the Focus On The Family commentary. More details in Thursday’s (10/8) edition of NTS MediaOnline Today.

UPDATE: Late Wednesday night (10/7) Citadel Media issued a release confirming the aforementioned senior management change at the company’s network division stating: “John Rosso has been appointed President of Citadel Media. In his new role, Rosso will oversee the radio network that includes ABC News Radio, ESPN Audio, and nine 24-hour formats.” Citadel Chairman/CEO Farid Suleman said, “We are very pleased to have someone of John’s caliber leading Citadel Media’s efforts as we enter into this exciting and challenging time for the network business. John’s breadth of experience and first-hand knowledge of Citadel Media’s operations makes him ideally suited for this leadership role to develop and leverage new opportunities the network presents.”
